Ware Farm is offering our products as part of the CSA Program - Community Supported Agriculture.

What is C S A ?
Community Supported Agriculture Is a unique partnership between farmers using organic methods and local people that want to eat fresh healthy food.

CSA members receive freshly harvested, highly nutritional food, with no synthetic chemicals added and they provide growers a guaranteed local market. This helps small farmers survive amidst the growing industrialization of agriculture.

How it Works
With a pre-season payment you purchase a subscription "share" of our harvest. Advance payment allows us to purchase seeds and supplies needed for the season. During the growing season, you pick up your food once each week at the farm. (There may be an off farm drop point if there is a substantial interest and need.) Your commitment is to pay in advance, pick up your food weekly and enjoy. Our commitment is to do our best to ensure you will receive a healthy box of produce each week. Crop failures are part of the risk. Most years if some crops fail others will flourish.

What is my "subscription"?
Your weekly box will contain a variety of vegetables and fruits over the summer season depending on the harvest.
A full subscription will be in amounts that are appropriate for a family of four or two vegetarians.
A half subscription will supply a family of two non-vegetarians.

Of course, the amount you receive will start small in spring and increase, as vegetables and fruits become available.

Our weekly pickup schedule will run 18-20 weeks, approximately mid to late May through October 1. Start date will depend on when the asparagus decides to come up.

Pie subscription: You will receive a variety of fresh baked organic pies, 1 each week for 5 different weeks over the season.

A Summer subscription is 10 weeks mid June to mid August.

We are looking at Tuesday, 3pm-7pm as the Pickup time on the farm.
Volunteers are always needed - and appreciated! - on the farm. If you would like to add this experience to your life, ask about scheduling time.
